@askpermanenttsb is permanent tsb’s Twitter account that serves the banks 1.2 million customers in Ireland. The account is largely customer service focused but it is also used as a promotional channel if the content is appropriate.

When proposed as a communications medium, there was an initial ‘fear of the unknown’ regarding social media adoption, its relevancy within financial services and the benefits permanent tsb could derive from its use.

Tweet ‘em home for Christmas was a charity drive but not like you have ever known! WeinvitedElectric Irelands Facebook and Twitter followers to support one of three teams (each one representing one of three charities) as they complete a 2-day drive across Ireland in three eye-catching cars – an ecar, a DeLorean and a New York yellow taxi – on December 8th and 9th 2011.

Electric Ireland has two excellent iPhone and Android mobile apps: An ‘Appliance Calculator’ which enables people to calculate energy savings around the home and a ‘Meter Reading’ App, which enables customers to submit current meter readings and remove the need for estimated bills.

From the answers you give the wizard tool gives energy and money saving recommendations personalised to your home. Aspera Solutions is an enterprise software V.A.R. based in Dublin, Ireland and I joined the company in 2008. We made the decision to expand into the UK market and a large part my role was lead generation in focus; however the brand was outdated and needed a refresh in order to position us as formidable competitor in the UK market. We wanted to, despite being a relatively small company chase after some big fish and we did, we caughtsome very big fish!
